116000 number

On Monday 1 September the 116000 number is operational. The Netherlands is the third country within the European Union which opens the number 116000 for parents of which the child is missing.

Greece and The Czech Republic preceded the Netherlands. The International Child Abduction Centre in the Netherlands, which is part of the Foundation The Ombudsman in Hilversum, is responsible for the aid line.

The International Child Abduction Centre; 088 - 800 9000 (24 hour service)
